Deed Book Q, p. 490
Notes:
*These people made their mark. Presumably, the others could sign their names.
William and Martha Cromer Arnold had previously sold their interest (1/11th) in
the estate to William Cromer for $25 on 29 Aug 1870 (DB L, p. 68).
The south fork of Skeggs Creek is another of those odd terms used for different
sections of the main fork. Pehaps it's called the south fork because the east
fork actually runs from the north and the main fork also turns north past the
Walnut Grove area.
From other deeds and references (sample), we know
Joseph's land was on Skeggs Creek near the Walnut Grove Cemetery and mouth of
Long Branch.
