"This deed made and entered into this 8th day of January 1883 between
James Kirby, Nancy Ann McLemore, John McLemore, Lucretia McClure, Holbert
McClure, Nancy Sowder, Kizziah Halcomb, George Halcomb, W.C. Kirby and Betty
Kirby party of the first part and Jeremiah Kirby party of the second part.
"Witnesseth that said party of the first part for and in consideration of
a sum of a title bond heretofore given by Thomas Kirby to said Jeremiah Kirby
& c do hereby sell and convey to the party of the second part his heirs and
assigns the following described propery, to wit:
"Lying and being in the county of Rockcastle on the east fork of Skeggs
Creek and a part of the old Thomas Kirby farm, beginning at a sassafras a
corner to George Halcomb and Jeremiah Kirby
"
a lien is retained on the land hereby conveyed for the payment of
the said unpaid purchase money." |
