Holbert McClure Sr to Vincent Renner heirs, 10 Aug 1866

"This indenture made and entered into this the 10th day of August, 1866, between Holbert McClure Sr and Rebecca his wife of the one part, and Charity Renner, widow of Vincent Renner dec'd, Samantha Renner, Josiah Renner, Barbara A. Renner and William S. Renner, infant children of the said Vincent and Charity Renner of the other part.

"Witnesseth that the said party of the first part in consideration of $[amount left blank] in hand paid by the said Vincent Renner in his lifetime sold and hereby covey to the party of the second part the following boundary of land lying in Rockcastle, KY, on the waters of Skeggs Creek supposed to adjoin an old survey in the name of Robert Buckner and including part of what is called the O'Possum Hollow and bounded as follows:

"Beginning at a chestnut oak on a ridge between the Long Branch and the O'Possum Hollow, thence…containing 50 acres…"
