Nichols heirs to Hutson McAlister, 5 Nov 1868

"Know all men by these presents that we, Margaret Ferrell, James F. Nichols, all of the county of Pulaski, and Thomas J. Nichols and his wife Sarah A. Nichols, Thomas Arnold and his wife Serelda F., George W. Nichols and his wife Rebecky Nichols, and Elizabeth Renner, of the county of Rockcastle and the state of Kentucky of the first party, and Hutson McAlister of the county of Pulaski and state aforesaid of the second party.

"Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid by the siad Hutson McAlister…sell and confirm unto the said McAlister a certain tract or parcel of land, situated in the county of Pulaski and state aforesaid and lying in the Sinking Valley, and bouded as followeth, to wit:

"Beginning at a double white oak, thence S 43 E 108 poles to the said Hutson McAlister's line, thence…Containing fifteen acres and 24 poles.

"Now we the said first party state that we are the lawful owners of the above described piece or parcel of land…"
