Solomon Row to Joseph Smith Row, 19 Feb 1876

"This deed between Solomon Row and Lucinda Row his wife of the county of Rockcastle and state of Kentucky of the first part, and Joseph Smith Row of the county and state aforesaid of the second part.

"Witnesseth that the said party of the first part in consideration of the party of the second pary being an heir of their estate, they do hereby grant and convey to the party of the second part…the following described property, viz:

"A tract of land situated lying and being in the county…on the waters of the Long Branch of Skeggs Creek where the party of the first part now lives, containing one hundred acres, more or less, including all the land that the party of the first part owns that they have not deed to their other heirs, said land bounded on the south and west with the lines of the lands deeded to their other heirs, reserving the right for the party of the first part to live and remain where they now live and cut timber and clear and cultivate as much or little of said land as they may wish, also the right to cultivate as little much of the improved land as they may wish and erect any buildings they may wish during the life time of the party of the first part…"

A very small part of this land is now the High Dry Cemetery. The property described above also probably bordered the land Solomon Rowe sold to John W. Kirby.
