Digitized tax lists Pulaski County are also now available!  For anyone who has spent much time with the tax lists, you already know what a fantastic resource they can be. The biggest problem (at least for me) was having to sit at the microfilm reader and scroll through the images, making myself dizzy. You also had to find an available reader and order or borrow the microfilm rolls. Well, thanks in large part to developing technologies, those problems may soon be a thing of the past--it's now more affordable to get microfilm digitized, which is what I've done with some of the area tax list data. The following tax lists have been digitized and placed on DVD in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) documents so you can access the data on your home computer: • Pulaski County, 1799-1875 • Rockcastle County, 1811-1875 • Laurel County, 1827-1863 • Lincoln County, 1787-1805 • Knox County, 1800-1840 • Births, Marriages & Deaths primarily 1852-1859 and 1874-1878 for Powell, Pulaski, Robertson, and Rockcastle On each DVD are .pdf indexes, organized by page number by year. The lists themselves are alphabetized by surname, but not by first name. Click here to view samples.
