The will of Cyrenius Renner

Cyrenius Waite Renner was born about 1832 in Pulaski County (according to his marriage record). He married Nancy Taylor, daughter of Edmund Taylor and Elizabeth Bullock, 26 Jun 1856 in Pulaski County. The Taylors lived in the Sinking Valley area of Pulaski County.

He died between 17 Jun 1867 and 17 Jul 1867 in Pulaski County. His burial location is unknown, but it's probably one of the cemeteries near the Sinking Valley Church.

At this time the parents of Cyrenius Renner remain unknown.

"Pulaski County

"I, C.W. Renner of the State of Kentucky and County aforesaid, being sound in mind and memory, but weak in bodily strength, and knowing that it is appointed once for man to die, I hereby order this my last will and testament, making all others previously made void and without effect.

"My will and desire is that all my just debts to be paid first, and all the land and personal property belonging to me I want left to my wife and children, and I give her the right to sell and make a right to any land that I own, in her lifetime, and if any left to belong to my heirs, and I give her the full power to collect all debts coming me.

"In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this, the 17th day June 1867.

"Signed: C.W. Renner

"Signed and acknowledged in the presence of us: William Bullock, Jeremiah Randolph, Henry F. Harris"

Notes: The will was executed 17 Jul 1867, by which time Cyrenius had died. Jeremiah Randolph and William Bullock appeared in court that day to prove the will. Jeremiah and William lived in the Sinking Valley/Line Creek area in 1870; Henry Harris lived in Somerset.

The will is recorded in Pulaski County Will Book 6, p. 553.
