The will of John Renner

John Logan Renner was born in Rockcastle County 30 Sep 1873 to Elisha Renner and Mary Ann Linville. He died 25 Oct 1954 and is buried near his parents and siblings in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.

There is no record of him ever marrying.




"I, John Renner of sound mind and disposing memory, do hereby make and publish this writing as my last will and testament, hereby revoking any and all wills heretofore made by me.

"First: I desire and direct that all of my just debts be fully paid and my funeral expenses be fully paid out of my estate as soon as practicable after my decease.

"Second: I will and bequeath all of my property, after complying with the first paragraph herein, to my surviving brothers and sisters, namely: Wilson Renner brother, Ella Renner sister, Lucy Renner sister, and Angeline Renner sister. Should they all survive me, and at the death of my brothers or death of my sisters my interest in any and all real estate it be become the property of the surviving brothers or sisters in fee-simple. Also, all personal property is to become the property of the surviving brother or sister as named above.

"In testimony I have this day signed my name to the forgoing writing as my last will and testament, this December 31, 1940--John Renner.

"We the undersigned have hereunto signed our names as witnesses to the foregoing writing at the request and in the presence of John Renner and in the presence of each other:

"Hester Lodsdon, witness

"Verna[?] Boone, witness"
