Mary Grider Cummins to H.M. Cromer, 23 Mar 1942

"This deed, between Mary Grider Cummins, and Sam Cummins, her husband, of the first part, and H.M. Cromer, of the second part,

"Witnesseth, that the said party of the first part, in consideration of one dollar and other valuable consideration, to them paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby sell, grant and convey to the party of the second part his heirs and assigns the following described property, viz: Located in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, on the water of Skeggs Creek, and thus described:

"Beginning at a stone corner at the creek; thence a south course with a fence to a stone corner on top of ridge; thence east course with said fence, running 250 yards; thence 250 yards to a chestnut oak corner; thence a north course to a white oak corner at the creek; thence with said creek to the beginning, and containing 100 acres more or less.

"Being the same land grantor inherited from her mother Lucy Renner, the grantors herein quitclaim any and all interest they or each of them have in the above described property…"
